The Mount Isa Catholic Youth Group was started by Mary and Paul Wright as way for Young people to connect with their faith.

Youth Group session's are filled with games, brain teasers, activities and lots of laughs. 

The Youth Group goes on a pilgrimage or journey each year. This includes World Youth Day's in Madrid, Rio, Krakow (Poland) and Panama.

Australian Catholic Youth Festivals, Ignite and other occasions are attended also as well as local retreats around North and North-West Queensland.

We invite all Youth to attend and see what we are about. You will find an environment that is friendly, fun-filled and non-judgmental.

We raise money for our trips by working in the Good Shepherd Parish Chip Van at community events and school fetes as well as working in the Jangawala kitchen providing meals to the needy.

You can be anywhere along your Faith journey or not even started; just come along and meet some good people.

We have a Youth Group for secondary to 25 years-old the first, third and fifth Friday of every month from 5-7:30pm.

We have a Senior Youth group for Grade 12 to 25 year olds every second Thursday from 7-8 where we discuss topics relevant to Youth.

We have a Grade 6 Youth group every fourth Friday of the month from 5-7:30.

AND NOW we are having our first Cloncurry Youth group on Saturday 30th March from 3-6pm at St Joseph's School Cloncurry.
